Nap Living hearts Green Point

15 Apr

There are few places found where one can enjoy trying on truely beautiful clothing AND enjoy delicious treats and coffee. If this sounds appealing to you, then you HAVE to visit Nap Living in the Cape Quarter. We met with owner Carina Marescia and chatted to her about all things Green Point…

What’s Nap Living all about?

Nap sells décor, linen and gifts, and is all about feel-good, honest products. We like to maintain a simple lifestyle philosophy – we are governed by a need to gather things that we really identify with and love. Useful, beautiful, natural things that have a homegrown feel. A good percentage of our goods are locally produced, and we try to keep a neutral/natural base.

What does Nap love about Green Point?

We love being in Greenpoint, it’s kind of like being caught between city and community, which gives it a great vibe. The people who live around here are generally very dynamic and creative, therefore the whole energy is just really cool, colourful, moving and shaking. It’s so central, so we get lots of interesting visitors, from all over the world.

What does Nap bring to Green Point?

Building on the successes of our Hout Bay and Kloof Street store’s, Nap brings authentic, feel-good produce to our little corner of Green Point. We have just “re-booted” our cafe by introducing Bean There fair-trade coffee, along with a tasty menu including sweet and savoury treats like breakfast quiches, ginger fudge and irresistible chocolate brownies.

Three favourite neighbourhood spots?

Loading Bay; Beluga; and Lazari

We heart Green Point because…

The mix of people, places and energy! We love it!
